Culinary
Are you a meat lover? A seafood lover? Or a vegan? Whatever, your preference Australia is sure to delight. Aussies love to barbecue! Experience their style of barbecuing. Or try their unusual types of food. Perhaps a crocodile burger is on the menu? Emu? Or maybe some kangaroo steak? Whatever it may be, Australia has something for everyone.
Taste traditional Indigenous food. Such as witchetty grubs! You can also see these little creepy crawlies featured in many Aboriginal paintings. It was the most important insect food in the desert and was a major staple in their diets. Learn more about bush tucker (food) with our knowledgeable and local guides in Australia. Swimming in Australia
Australia has many lakes, creeks, rivers and beaches to swim. Please keep a lookout for any signage at the entry points to ensure swimming is safe. Or check the local government websites to be sure.
If you go swimming at the beach, always 'swim between the flags.' This is a safe area of the beach which is patrolled by lifesavers.
Hiking in Australia
If you are planning to take a hike or walk without a guide, we recommend to always let somebody know what your plans are and when you expect to return. Be sure to check the weather conditions before you leave and bring plenty of water, insect repellent and a map. Wear protective gear and sunscreen. Be sure to stay on the designated tracks too.
Australia’s states and territories
Australia is 7.692 million km² in size with a population of approximately 25 million people. The country is divided into six states; Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. There are also two territories, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. Here, you will find the capital of Australia, Canberra.

Because some of your dream activities may be only available seasonal or best experienced at a certain time of year. Australia's climates
Tropical - In the most northern parts of Australia, you will find a tropical climate. With a wet and humid season (November till April) and a warm and dry season (May till October).
Subtropical - Some parts of Australia have a subtropical climate, such as Brisbane. During the summer (November till March), you can expect sunny weather with the chance of thunderstorms. It can get humid too. In the winter months (June to August), you will experience mild sunny weather with an average temperature of 20 - 10 degrees celsius.
Desert - The middle part of Australia is mostly made up of desert landscape with an arid climate. Summer temperatures are generally hot throughout. And in winter, you can experience freezing temperatures.
Dry Mediterranean - In some southern parts of Australia, you will find a Mediterranean climate, mild and rainy winters and sunny summers.
Temperate - The southern part of Australia has a temperate climate. The rainfall is generally spread out over the seasons. And you can experience a warm to hot summer and cool to cold winter.
