Robert is an award-winning chef and serves a range of New Zealand cuisine. Be treated to fresh vegetables and herbs from his garden. Robert has even written a cookbook. Join him for a cooking class to learn new tips and tricks. Christine will share her favourite walking tracks nearby.

No traffic, shops or restaurants - just rolling hills, high country lakes, fresh air, grazing sheep and the mighty Southern Alps. Whether you want to sit next to the fire and read a book in the library or discover the surrounding nature - the choice is yours. Explore the walking trails, go trout fishing at Rakaia River, try mountain biking or play golf at Terrace Downs Golf Resort, located next to the lodge.

Canterbury is the largest region of New Zealand with diverse landscapes, stretching from the ocean to the mountains. Visit Arthur’s Pass National Park to discover magical hiking and cycling trails or go skiing at Mount Hutt in the winter months.
