Frequently asked questions
No, these Down Under itineraries are examples rather than fixed routes. They are designed to show what is possible, but your final holiday can be adjusted around your travel dates, pace, budget, preferred accommodation and the regions you most want to include. Every trip our specialists create is entirely personalised.
There are multiple factors that determine the final price of your holiday: seasonality, how far in advance you're booking, what flight class you prefer, what level of accommodation you choose, and any special activities you might want to include. Our travel specialists will advise you on what is possible within your budget and suggest where to save and where it's worth spending a bit extra.
For first-time visitors, we often recommend focusing on Australia’s east coast or New Zealand’s South Island, rather than trying to cover both countries too quickly. The east coast is home to Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests, beaches and relaxed coastal stays, while New Zealand’s South Island is where you'll find the classic Kiwi scenery like snow-capped mountains, lakes, glaciers and fiords.
If you'd like to combine both countries, we'd recommend a minimum of six weeks to do them justice. A nice route could combine the Red Centre, reef and rainforest on Australia's east coast, with some of the highlights of New Zealand's South and North Islands.
