Stay in an old goods carriage that has been transformed into a unique glamping experience. It sits in a spot where two streams join to create the Hororata River. The carriage runs parallel to the river with a large deck area that enjoys beautiful, expansive views of Mt Hutt.
This is a quiet space surrounding a farm where you can relax and take in nature. Spot native birds such as wood pigeons, bellbirds, fantails and kingfishers. Take a dip in the river, light the barbecue and embrace the outdoors. If you would like to enjoy the local cuisine, you can visit the nearby towns Darfield and Methven, both of which are about 25 minutes drive away. Your hosts Cherly and Ben are looking forward to welcoming you.
You will stay in the Train Carriage. It has two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with a double bed and single bed. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting area. The terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine while looking out at Mount Hutt and being surrounded by the sound of chirping birds. Please note that mobile reception is very limited here.
