Iconic destinations

Our expert knowledge, local resources, and exclusive partnerships with local suppliers enable us to tailor-make your Australian adventure, ensuring that every moment is filled with wonder and discovery, giving you the perfect holiday.

Let yourself be guided behind the scenes in the iconic Sydney Opera House, or enjoy the vibrant hues of the Great Barrier Reef on a private catamaran with our hand-picked local skipper crew. Australia offers an array of stunning destinations waiting to be explored. Lose yourself in the beauty of Uluru with an indigenous guide or marvel at the natural wonders along the Great Ocean Road and relax afterwards in one of our hand-selected unique accommodations with a fabulous view.

We stop at nothing - our mission is to give you a perfect holiday. That is why our holiday itineraries go far beyond visiting the usual tourist highlights. At TravelEssence, we want you to really see Australia through the eyes of the locals, to immerse yourself in the rugged and contrasting landscapes and to learn about the history and cultural significance these lands hold with the Aboriginal people.

Where to stay?

At TravelEssence, we focus on small-scale accommodation run by local hosts. With us, you're not just staying in a room - you're staying with local hosts who offer a carefully selected product range, infused with the unique character of each region - that you won’t find anywhere else.

Picture yourself in a room with a cosy sitting area next to the bedroom, with double French doors opening onto your own terrace that leads to the beautiful garden of your hosts. They warmly welcome you to their little slice of paradise, surrounded by rolling fields, gardens, and orchards. It is an ideal place to relax, with some of Australia’s finest beaches and hiking trails taking you to nearby mystical rainforests and over rugged mountain peaks.

That's why we love small and special places to stay - not just for their comfort and personality, beautiful locations, and vistas across jaw-dropping landscapes. But because we know this is the best way to see Australia. Local advice makes all the difference to your holiday.

When you book with TravelEssence, you are guaranteed to enjoy:

Things to see and do

Of course, guidebooks can send you to well-known places, but only locals can tell you where the locals go. It's not difficult to put an itinerary together for Australia and get you to experience diving into crystal-clear waters, surfing along golden shores, joining sightseeing tours to view the breathtaking landscapes and indigenous populations, and even bush walks.

What makes TravelEssence different is far more than the unique experience guarantees we give you: It is that your holiday is full of first-hand knowledge and local tips that no other holiday arranged, even by any other specialist, can surpass.

Best travel time

We at TravelEssence are locals, too. That is why we recommend travelling in shoulder seasons, such as autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), which is, for us, the best time to see and enjoy Australia.

Our team in the UK have lived Down Under and has therefore experienced the diverse regions throughout the seasons. The advantage of travelling in shoulder seasons is that you can truly immerse yourself in the destination without the crowds or extreme weather conditions, allowing you to enjoy a more authentic interaction with local communities and attractions.

Plus, accommodations and attractions are typically more affordable, allowing you to stretch your budget further and potentially indulge in unique experiences or longer stays.
